Between my head and my heart, I honestly don’t know what I
follow. I guess I follow a mix of the two, but I think too much. I don’t know
what I would do in the place of Hal. He loved her personality and values, but
had he not been under the spell, he wouldn’t like her physical appearance.
There’s something to be said for the inside and outside. Both people in a
relationship need to find each other physically attractive, but that doesn’t
mean that both have to be of supermodel status. The balance of the importance
between outside and inside depends on what type of relationship will be
started. However, the more important factor is that people should present
themselves as who they are. Rosemary presented herself as who she was on the
inside on the outside, because she honestly didn’t care about what others
thought of her and had a pretty face to match her heart. I think Hal made the
right choice in staying with her, because his relationship with her was for who
she was, and her looks were just a bonus.
