Hal was a man who didn't care about what a woman's personality was like. He was shallow and only cared about her looks. as a man in today's society there are many people who think in that same way. Hal was just a man who judged women because he was insecure about himself. In the movie he would try to have a relationship with his beautiful neighbor but she didn't want anything. So when that man changed Hal he saw every single women beautiful. When he met rosemary he fell in love with her sense of humor beauty and how he connected with her. He loved her and thought that she was the perfect women for him. once his best friend ruined his curse by saying "shallow Hal wants a gal" he saw every women's defect. He was shocked by what he had saw and when he saw rosemary he didn't want to be with her. She would try to call him and he would just ignore her. He was ashamed of what had just happened. But the turning point that made him change the way that he felt about himself was when he visited the hospital with the children from the burn unit. He saw them with their burns and he knew that he had to change the way that he was with people. So he decided to go back to rosemary because he knew that he loved her and that she was the one for him. This was better for Hal because he turned out to not judge people by the way that they look but by their personality.
