In a divorce, it is extremely hard to keep the child whose parents are going through the divorce out of pain, especially if the child is young and the only child. In order to keep the child out of pain, the parents either should live near each other so that the child could be close to both of the parents or if the parents live farther away from each other, then the child should be able to see them both equally like every other week. Those are the only ways to keep the child out of pain and happy. The only other possible way to keep the child out of pain would definitely be for the parents to resolve the conflict that they had and get back together. That is something both Kramer's could've done because in my opinion, what they were fighting over was pretty stupid in the first place.
