I think Ted did a great job on taking care of Billy. After Joanna leave him and Billy, it means Ted need to take care of Billy by himself. At first he didn't know what to do with Billy, because he never try to take care a child. He messed up the breakfast he made, he needed Billy to wake him up in the morning, and he was mad when Billy didn't listen to him and knock over the drink on the table and messed up his work. but after all the struggles, Ted and Billy both grew. Ted started to know that being a child's parent isn't easy, and what Joanna did for him was not easy at all, and Billy started to know the burdens on Ted, and started to listen and obey Ted as a father. They started to work together, and Ted start to love one another.They end up with a very good relationship that can never be broken
