I think Ted is an amazing job with taking care of Billy, especially
since everything was last minute and he wasn’t sure how long he would be with
Billy by himself. Being with Billy and taking care of Billy made Ted more of a
man and a father. He started to appreciate and love his child way more than he
used too and that’s something a man should always do when he has children.
It’s beautiful to see the effort of a father when he is in this
position, there could be the possibility of his giving up and just leaving
Billy because he has too many other things to worry about, like his job and
promotion, which has a lot of traveling involved and a higher paid job. But Ted
had to put all those things aside to take care of his kid. And he did a great
job because his relationship with Billy became stronger, and the way Billy
looks at him and depends on him makes Ted happy and proud of himself.
